Legislation
US House of Representatives Bill 7039 - “Stronger Communities Through Better Transit Act” (Johnson et al. including Lee, Swalwell, DeSaulnier, and Khanna)
This bill would authorize $20 billion annually for four years ($80 billion total) to transit systems for their operating budgets, provide more frequent service on bus and rail lines, and prioritize that service to places with existing poor service, disadvantaged communities, and areas of persistent poverty.

Legislation
California State Assembly Constitutional Amendment 4 (Bryan et al. including Bonta and Lee)
This bill would repeal that requirement regarding the disqualification of electors incarcerated for felony convictions, thereby authorizing an otherwise qualified elector serving a state or federal prison term for the conviction of a felony to vote.
California State Assembly Constitutional Amendment 6 (Haney et al. including Lee, Ortega, Bonta, and Wahab)
This bill would require individuals who perform work for the Regents of the University of California to have the right to, and be covered by, certain basic state labor standards, as provided. The measure would authorize the Legislature to enact laws that further these rights, define the basic state labor standards, or establish other health, safety, and labor protections for individuals performing work for the regents to the same extent as for other California workers.
California State Senate Bill 252 (Gonzalez et al.)
This bill prohibits the California Public Employees Retirement System (CalPERS) and the California State Teachers Retirement System (CalSTRS) from investing in fossil fuel companies, and provides they divest any current holdings in these companies by 2031, with an additional 5-year off-ramp should the funds encounter specified market conditions.

This bill removes the sunset of California State Senate Bill 35 (Wiener, 2017) and makes the law permanent, thus providing streamlined, ministerial approval of projects in cities that have not met their Regional Housing Needs Assessment (RHNA) goals or adopted a compliant housing element.
